Walking a wooden street alone in the morning

A Nakasendo post town. Dirt path instead of asphalt — footsteps go soft. Old wooden houses line both sides, and every bend changes the scene a little. A soba shop's noren fluttered in the wind. Glad I came when it was quiet. I muttered something about time-traveling to Edo, then felt a bit embarrassed.
