JTPJapan Trip Plan
Hidden gems firstQuiet countryside~7 min questionnaire

Japan's real charm is in the places travel sites skip.

Crowded temples and famous streets are easy to find. What most itineraries miss — quiet countryside, uncrowded towns, fishing villages, onsen hamlets — is where Japan's soul lives. We specialize in those hidden gems, and weave them into a plan that still works for your dates, pace, and must-sees.

Who this is for

For travelers who want more than the same tourist loop.

01

Travelers chasing Japan's quieter side

Rural villages, coastal towns, and neighborhoods that never make the top-10 lists — the places where Japan still feels local, not staged.

02

First-timers who want icons without the crowds only

Tokyo, Kyoto, temples, sushi — done well, then balanced with hidden gems so your trip isn't just queues and photo stops.

03

Travelers who plan and book themselves

You make the bookings — we guide train routes, where to stay, and how to reach those quieter spots most blogs never mention.

How it works

Three steps. You book — we guide.

01

Tell me what you're looking for

A 7-minute questionnaire — how much countryside and hidden gems you want, what classics matter, and your pace.

02

We build your plan

A day-by-day route built around quieter Japan — rural corners, uncrowded towns, and the classics that still belong in your trip.

03

You receive your itinerary

A clear PDF you can follow on your phone — with guidance on train routes, where to stay, and how to book. You handle the actual reservations.

What you get

A full itinerary built around Japan's hidden side.

We know the countryside and uncrowded corners that travel sites barely cover — and we put them into a clear day-by-day plan. Classics are welcome too, but hidden gems are our edge.

Day-by-day itinerary

Spots, timing, and transit between them — designed so you're not backtracking, whether you're in one city or crossing regions.

Hidden gems travel sites miss

Quiet villages, local cafes, and off-path towns that don't show up on typical itineraries — the places where Japan's charm still feels real.

Mood-matched recommendations

Every stop chosen for how you want to feel that day — whether that's calm, curious, or energized.

Practical notes

Opening hours, best times to visit, local tips, and where to eat nearby.

Booking guidance

You make the reservations — we show you which trains to take, where to base yourself, and step-by-step notes on how to book hotels and tickets.

PDF booklet (しおり)

A clean document you can pull up on your phone. Standard and Whole Trip plans include a formatted PDF.

Our specialty

The Japan you won't find on travel sites.

Crowds gather at the famous spots. Japan's deeper charm lives in fishing villages, mountain onsen towns, rice terraces, and quiet countryside. Those hidden gems are what we push — because that's where the trip becomes unforgettable.

Photos below are examples of places we love recommending — not a fixed list. Your plan can lean fully into hidden gems, or mix them with classics.

Where Japan's charm still feels local

About

We plan the Japan that travel sites leave out.

Japan's real beauty isn't only in the famous cities. It's in quiet countryside, uncrowded towns, and hidden gems that typical travel sites never feature. Japan Trip Plan is built by experts who know those places — and who believe that's where Japan's charm is concentrated.

We design routes nationwide: rural villages, coastal towns, mountain onsen, and city days that still feel personal. Classics when you want them — but hidden gems are always our priority and our strength.

This is travel planning, not a travel agency. You handle reservations yourself — with clear guidance on train routes, where to stay, and how to book.

FAQ

Common questions

You make the bookings yourself — that's intentional. Your plan includes which trains to take, where to base yourself, and step-by-step notes on how to book hotels and tickets. We focus on building the right route and making sure you know exactly what to reserve.

By email. After payment, we'll send a confirmation to the address you provided. Your finished itinerary and any follow-up also arrive by email — please check your inbox, and your spam or junk folder if you don't see a message within a few minutes.

Light plans are often delivered within a few days. If you're on a tight schedule, same-day turnaround may be possible depending on our availability — mention it in your questionnaire or contact us. Standard plans usually take 5–7 days. Whole Trip plans (up to one week) typically take 7–10 days.

One round of revisions is included with every plan. Whole Trip includes an additional pre-departure adjustment. Major rewrites (e.g., completely different dates or interests) may require a new plan.

Guidebooks and travel sites repeat the same crowded spots. We specialize in the quieter Japan — countryside, local towns, and hidden gems most tourists never reach — then build a plan around your dates, pace, and interests.

Full refund if we haven't started work yet (within 24 hours of payment). After that, 50% refund until delivery begins. No refund once the itinerary is delivered.
